So begins this antique cookbook by the General Foods Corporation in 1939. This is a beautiful promotional cookbook with full-color illustrations, black & white photography, tips, techniques, and recipes devoted to the art and craft of home baking.

Like so many other companies of the day, General Foods published this book to promote its products. In this case, Swan Flour and Calumet Baking Powder. That said, modern substitutes will work just fine for the recipes.

• Some shelf-wear and cooking stains on the covers
• Some pages have cooking stains (those are the recipes to try, by the way!)
• No dust jacket (we're not sure if there was one or not originally)
