CHRONICLES OF THE SCHONBERG-COTTA FAMILY (1864)
Chronicles of the Schonberg-Cotta Family was originally published in 1862, this is likely the second edition published in 1864 by M.W. Dodd, No. 506 Broadway, New York, New York. Written by Elizabeth Charles on the subject of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.

• Measures 7 1/2" x 5"
• Remarkably good condition for a 150 year old book
• Binding is pretty tight
• Cover shows some dust and wear for its years but remarkably on a few frayed edges
• Pages have yellowed a bit and there is the odd spot here and there but in great shape for their age
• What appear to be booksellers marks on the inside front and back covers in pencil


ABNER DANIEL (1902)
A well-preserved antique novel, Abner Daniel by Will N. Harben was published in 1902 by A.L. Burt Company. About the Author... Harben was born in 1858 in Dalton, Georgia to a rich family. He grew up to be a merchant in that same town. At age 30, Harben started writing stories. In 1889, Harben wrote his first bestseller, Slave, a story of a white girl raised in slavery in the American South. After the publication of this novel, he moved his family to New York City. Harben achieved his greatest literary success with Northern Georgia Sketches (1900), a collection of short stories about Georgia "hillbillies". He became a protegee and friend of William Dean Howells. Two of his memorable characters were mountaineers Abner Daniel and Pole Baker, rustic philosophers and comedic characters. Harben died in New York City in 1919 at age 61.

MARGARET PEDLER: A SPLENDID FOLLY & THE MOON OUT OF REACH (1921)
A set of two novels by Margaret Pedler, popular British author in the early part of the 20th Century. This set includes her first novel, A Splendid Folly and her fourth, The Moon Out of Reach, both dated 1921. A great addition to your antique book collection or to add a little touch of library warmth to your decor. About the Author... Margaret Pedler (1877-1948) initially studied piano and singing at the Royal Academy of Music, and published several songs for which she wrote both the music and lyrics. Over her career as a best-selling writer, from 1917 to 1947, she produced 28 novels.
