Although formica has been around since 1913, it really hit it's heyday in the 1950s and 1960s as a fashion element. Sheffield was a well known producer of silver plate and created several pieces of silver mixed with formica.

This is a large tray with pierced silver and rich brown wood-look formica base. A Mid-Century gem for serving drinks, apps, or use as a decorative tray.
