Vintage Peel Away Wax Covered Chocolate Santa - From Gurley Candle Company

Vintage "Peel Away" hollow chocolate Santa figurine from the 1950s/1960s. This is a wax covered Santa Claus figurine, manufactured by the Chocolate Division of W&F Mfg. Co. that was sold as an edible. (PLEASE DO NOT EAT! Display only). As an edible, not many of these were saved over the years. To remove the chocolate, you would have cooled it in the refrigerator then pulled the plastic ribbon to peel away the wax.

Please use this as display only. This chocolate is 60-70 year old. W&F Manufacturing was the parent company of Gurley Candle Co., so this Santa would fit right in with your Gurley collection. Santa measures approximately 3" tall x 1 1/4" wide. Some discoloration and dustiness and a few dents. Great, kitschy addition to your Mid Century Christmas display!
