Gorgeous Japanese Silk Roundel - Vintage Silk Wall Hanging - Embroidered Butterfly and Flowers - Hand Sewn

Embroidered Asian Silk is something that always catches our eye and these two, found together are exquisite examples of Asian silk roundels or round wall hangings. The first roundel is in great condition. It depicts a butterfly and two flowers. The embroidery and fabric is in excellent condition. The second roundel is in good condition. It depicts a small bird and what we think are cherry blossoms (one of the main reasons we believe these are Japanese).

The embroidery is in excellent condition. There is some minor fraying of the rust/orange silk border. We believe that these roundels are both from Japan based on the styling, We are not, however, experts in Asian fabric or art, and roundels are also a popular art form in China.
