Once upon a time, eggs were shipped in metal boxes directly to consumers. This box of 4 dozen eggs was purchase by Mrs. E.E. Webber from Kendall & Whitney in Portland Maine and sent to Harry Haynes in Waterford Maine. This makes a great rustic storage container or conversation piece for anyone who loves interesting things.
