TV Guide Econo Matrix Board - Vintage 1950s Mold Board for Making Rubber Stamp Sheets - Industrial Decor
OK. You're not alone. We didn't know what this super-cool thing was until we looked them up. It turns out this is a great examples of an Econo Matrix board which is...
ABOUT ECONO PRODUCTS Econo Products was founded in 1930 and began by making matrix board. Econo matrix board is a mold board for use with a pattern plate (liquid or sheet) when manufacturing vulcanized rubber stamps, flexographic plate making, or pre-inked stamps using the "wet" system. The special surface coating provides excellent depth of character without fracture. Econo board is manufactured to stringent quality guidelines using a cross laminating process during construction, which provides exceptional stability, thus eliminating distortion after the curing process (about ten minutes). This board is great for stamp making but honestly, we think this is a piece of industrial art all by itself, as is or framed. We found two of them. This one is covered in an all-over pattern of the old TV Guide logo. The other is a beautiful graphic, diamond pattern. See our photos.
