1800s Antique Soapstone Foot Warmer / Sleigh Ride Foot Warmer | Carriage Ride Foot Warmer | Turn of the Century Rustic Decor
This is an antique foot warmer used by the Victorians at the turn of the century to keep their feet warm on sleigh rides! The stone was warmed by the fire, then put on the floor of the sleigh. Wrap yourself up in blankets and the heat keeps you warm head to toe! And the wire handle made it easy to carry to and from the sleigh.
Today, with or without a sleigh, this homage to carbon-free, energy efficiency would make a beautiful, rustic accent to any decor.
