1930 Good Housekeeping Cookbook: Meals Tested, Tasted, and Approved | Third Printing, December, 1930 | Bixley Shop
A promotional cookbook published in 1930, this is a well-loved and lovingly referenced family favorite.
In good condition for its age, the binding has faded a bit and a few pages have cooking stains, but otherwise, it's ready for your kitchen.
Debuting in April, 1930, this is a copy from the third printing in December, 1930. It was a promotional offering. You could NOT buy this book from a bookstore. Instead, it was a premium offer to encourage homemakers to purchase a subscription to Good Housekeeping Magazine.
The book is a classic example of early 20th Century homemaking with tons of recipes, cooking techniques, everyday menus, ideas for entertaining, and more. Take a look at the photos for a few examples of the content.
