1938 Rumford Complete Cook Book, 9th Edition - Classic Rumford Baking Powder Cookbook
Rumford Chemical Works, makers of Rumford Baking Powder, began publishing their classic "complete" cookbook in 1908. They continued to improve on their publication year after year, updating it to the times and cooking methods of modern kitchens. Testament to its popularity, this is the 9th edition of the book published in 1938.
The Rumford Complete Cook Book was written by Lily Haxworth Wallace, widely known American food specialist and former homemaking editor of Woman's World magazine.
Rumford Chemical Works is based in Rumford, RI, named after Count Rumford, an innovator in kitchen techniques and technology.
This 213 page handy book of recipes features classic American home cooking with black & white photography. A must-have for any vintage cookbook collection!
