A set of 2 The Gus Saunders Boston Kitchen cookbooks, this collection includes the October 1967 and April 1968 editions.
A unique piece of promotional ephemera from the 1950s, the Rockland Savings Bank of Rockland, MA offered customers this handy "Budget Directory & Cookbook" to help organize their finances and cook delicious meals. (Not kidding). The book features 36 pages of recipes along side financial organizing sheets to help keep track of household expenses, inventory financial assets, handy household tips, and local advertising.
A delightful example of promotional materials from the 1950s when advertising wasn't quite as sophisticated as it is today.
