Ameliaranne Keeps Shop was written in 1928 by Constance Heward, beautifully illustrated by one of our favorite children's illustrators, Susan Beatrice Pearse. This antique children's book tells the tale of a Ameliaranne Stiggins, a young girl left in charge of the local shop. She runs the store, curls her hair, and thwarts a thief. All in a day's work!
