When you go to estate sales as much as we do, you see a ton of porcelain. When we saw this piece in a china cabinet, we stopped in our tracks - the orange and gold are stunning, and such an unusual color pallet for fine china. Add to that the elegant shape with bold scalloped edges and delicate handles and we think this would be a beautiful addition to your fine china collection.

Richard Briggs inherited "The Old Corner Store" in 1861. He continued the tradition of importing fine porcelain and ceramics. Because of the prestige of his store, companies began making items for his store. This is one of those items. We believe based on look and feel of the porcelain that it is French (Briggs had many items made for the store in Limoges). Irrespective of where it was made, it is an attention-getting piece perfect for the holidays or any festive occasion!
