We call this a bubble basket pattern, we're torn between it looking basket weave and looking like bubble glass. It has a very atomic 1960s feel to it. While this dish was what they called a "luncheon tray", we think it would make a great organizer - good for keys or desk accessories. A wonderful accent piece for any decor.
