Written by Frances Joyce Farnsworth, the Cubby series was written in 1930s in celebration of Western wildlife and the great outdoors as told through eyes of two loving bears, Cubby and his Mommie Bear. Here are the first two books in the series, Cubby in Wonderland and Cubby Returns.

As the cover to Cubby in Wonderland explains... "Mommie Bear and Cubby, her son, plan a journey from their cave under the Grand Teton peak to Wonderland -- Yellowstone Park. Cubby was delighted with the idea of so long and wonderful a journey, ands surprise increased when they reached the Park. What happened there to Cubby and his mother is told in this volume in a manner that will charm as well as instruct the boys and girls who are introduced to Cubby and follow his adventures."

In the sequel, Cubby Returns, the cover describes it this way... "To all who followed their adventures in "Cubby in Wonderland," this little black bear and his wise Mommie are old friends. On this second visit to their loved Yellowstone Park, Mommie sometimes lets Cubby explore for himself. Unusual indeed is the story of what he discovers, each day something new, something beautiful."

• Covers show almost no shelf wear 
• A bit of fading and discoloration on the dust jackets
• One is inscribed on the inside front page, dated 1938
• Pages are in excellent condition, clean and unmarked
