Harrington's Graded Spelling Book In Two Parts by H.F. Harrington - 1908 Antique Schoolbook | Third Edition
Published in 1908, Harrington's Graded Spelling Book in Two Parts begins... "The old style spelling books have fallen into merited disrepute." Imagine how many times in the past 100+ years has the advancement of human knowledge and education begun with that exact desire to improve on the past.
The key insight of Mr. Harrington's teaching method still resonates today. Make spelling relevant to the children's life experience and need for new words to express themselves as they grow. (It's hard to believe that was never not the case!)
These antique spelling lessons are presented in typeface and cursive writing.
A wonderful gift for anyone who loves antique books, the history of education, or who thinks "laugh out loud" is spelled LOL.
