We love this community cookbook because it's ALL ABOUT HONEY! And who better to cook with honey than beekeepers.

In 1982, members of the Essex County Beekeepers Association in Topsfield, Massachusetts compiled 77 pages of recipes that feature honey as an ingredient for all kinds of dishes including: Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Dressings, Breads, Pies, Cakes, Desserts, and more!

As much as we love honey, our favorite part of this book is the cover. By the 1980s, community cookbooks were all the rage so printers started providing standardized covers, dividers, and cooking tip pages as a convenience service to organizations who wanted to create their own cookbook. The problem with these, however, is not every cover matches the contents of the book. Here the cover features a chicken dinner, which is not a recipe in the book.
