A RARE PAIR! These beautiful, antique song books hail from a time long past when music was of our own making.
College Songs was originally published in 1800. This is a copy from the 61st edition published in 1887! Imagine that. It was so popular in its day, 61 editions were published and more than 350,000 copies sold! 104 pages of music and lyrics, it features songs such as The Dude Who Couldn't Dance, Eton Boating Song, McSorley's Twins, and There's Music in the Air.
I Hear America Sing is a "Special Patriotic Edition" published in 1918 during World War I. It features 55 community songs including the Star Spangled Banner, Columbia, the Gem of the Oceans, My Old Kentucky Home, The Regiment of Sambre and Meuse, etc. The publishers write, "Our reason for publishing so much good music is that it has a vital part in the solution of the problem of getting the best out of life."
