This rare find is a stunning example of the simplicity and expressiveness in children's book art in the hands of a master.

Johnny is a Puppy tells the tale of a little puppy entertaining himself while his children go to school. The frame by frame of his day is masterfully illustrated by Erika Weihs then laid out in a fold-out book for children to follow right along side Johnny!

VINTAGE NOTES

• In very good condition 

• The front page/cover has tape running along both vertical sides. We believe this may have been original to the book but we can't be sure. It does not look as though the tape is mending any tears

• Some slight creasing and a few pencil marks on the cover

• A small tear on the back page

• A few small puncture marks along the bottom of the pages (could these be Johnny's bit marks?)

• None of this slight imperfections take away from the art or story progression
