RARE! Junior Scholastic Compilation Book from World War II, 1944-1945 - World War II Magazine by Scholastic Corp.
RARE! How do you explain war to a child? An extraordinary look back at World War II through the eyes of the Junior Scholastic Magazine.
The magazines present human interest stories about the times, the war effort, and the heroes of the Greatest Generation who ultimately saved the world. The magazines also feature comics (including one we found drawn by Rube Goldberg), and puzzles as you would expect in a children's magazine.
This is a bound copy of editions of the Junior Scholastic weekly magazine from September 1944 through to May 1945, capturing a good part of the last year of the war. A few editions are missing. We believe that's because this book was custom bound. The linen hard cover is labeled Junior Scholastic on the front and binding, but there are no other elements of a professionally published book.
For history lovers and students of World War II, this is rare and compelling look at how history told its own story. The book includes the following Junior Scholastic issues:
