Following the war, Prime Minister Winston Churchill created an extraordinary historical work, chronicling World War II in six volumes or nearly 5,000 pages, for which he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1953. Their Finest Hour is the second in the series, published in 1949. This appears to be a first edition copy.

A wonderful find for any history buff.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill  (1874 – 1965) was a British statesman, soldier and writer who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945, during the Second World War, and again from 1951 to 1955.
