ABOUT BILL DING BLOCKS (Courtesy of Sturh Products)
The Bill Ding stacking clown toy was originally built by the Stombecker Company in 1931. It was a children’s toy that was designed to foster hand-eye coordination. The original production ended in the 1960’s, until Chicago Cutlery bought Strombeck in 1980. Five years later, Stuhr Products bought Chicago Cutlery’s wooden division. Bill Dings were hand built in Wilton, IA during this time.
